My New Year's Resolutions for 2012

Happy Last Day of 2011! (a.k.a new years eve!)
Today I wanted to to my new year's resolutions and hopefully I will be able to stick to them!

1. Workout 3 times a week: I need to start working out on a regular basis! I have just been randomly doing workouts but starting tomorrow I am going to workout every Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday. I might start up a workout series again :)
2. Blog every other day: I am going to try my best to blog every other day!
3. Get my G1: I hope I can get it this week, but I have been putting it off for a long time and I want to have it done and maybe have my G2 by the end of the year!
4. Don't procrastinate: I tend to procrastinate a lot! With school work (especially studying), cleaning my room, ect.
5. To do the splits: I have been wanting to do the splits for such a long time! I am going the stretch everyday and hopefully I can by the end of the year!
6. No regrets: I don't want to think in the past anymore, and not worry about it. You only live your life once! :)
7. Go to a concert: This is something I want to do this year rather than a resolution. It is crazy how I have never been to a concert! I have been to small ones like Lights and some older bands but I have never been to big concert with thousands of people. The main person I want to see in concert is Justin Bieber, I really hope he has one near me this year!! :D

Those are my new year's resolutions! I hope you have a great new year's eve and talk to you next year ;)

What are you're new year's resolutions?

Look What I Got In The Mail! :D

Hey Everyone!
So, a few weeks ago I entered HerLateNightCravings's tokidoki giveaway! I ended up winning and I was super excited/shocked that I actually won something! Today it came in the mail and it felt like Christmas all over again! Haha :) So here is what I got:

And a closer look at the eye shadows...

I am just going to go through each thing staring with the little eye shadow pallets, then the larger eye shadow pallet then the rollerballs :)

Lion Pappa
This is my favourite out of the three quads. It is the tan coloured one on the left. The characters on it are so cute! For eye shadows you get a light brown, medium brown, dark brown and a gold. These colours are so pretty for an everyday look! And the blush is a peach colour. Overall I think I am going to be using this pallet A LOT! :)
24 Karat
This is the pallet in the middle (it is black). It also has aborable characters (like a little unicorn) and the colours in this are gorgeous! There is a white, blue, black, and silver. They are all really shimmery. The blush is really cute too it is a pink colour.
Vegas
This is a really fun palette! It is the purple one farthest to the right. The packaging is just like Vegas, cards, dice, slot machine, really fun! :) The eye shadows inside are white, silver (but not as intense as the 24 Karat palette), dark purple and a light purple. The blush is a light pink colour. I really like these eye shadows, they are so pretty! <3
24 Karat Skate Deck Palette
This palette is so cool! I love how it looks like a skate board! They have a bunch of the characters on the front and it comes with a cute little key chain! How adorable? I am going to quickly go through the colours:
Unicorno - White
Stella - Silver
Ametista - Light purple
Cuore - A very light pink, almost white
Duna - Light brown
Sabbia - Tan
Goccia - A dark blue (really pretty!)
Adios Star - Black
Tempesta: Dark purple
Granata: Green (a lot like a military green)
Camo: Dark brown
24 Karat: Gold
All of  these shadows are highly pigmented and so pretty! I am really excited to start creating looks with all of them!! :D
Rollerball Set
This is a perfume set with 6 different scents. They are small so you can take them anywhere you want to go and they have a different character on each one which is so cute!

I just want to say thank-you to herlatenightcravings! I am grateful for everything I got and I love it all and I can't wait to start using them!! <333 So thanks again!! And if you don't follow their blog make sure you go check it out! It is really amazing :D
That's all for today! I hope you have a great morning/afternoon/evening and I will talk to you later! :)

P.S if your interested in tokidoki they sell it at Sephora :) and sorry the pictures aren't the best quality, I had to use my phone!

My Top Lip Products of 2011

2011 is is coming to a close, so I thought it would be fun to do my top beauty products of 2011 starting with lips!

Lipstick
MAC Lustre Marquise D': I talk about this lipstick a lot in my blog posts. It is from the wonder woman collection so sadly it might not be available anymore. It is a nude pink colour and I find that is a great for everyday wear.
Revlon Lip Butters: I like all of the lip butters in general. I have berry smoothie but I really want to go and buy more! They are really creamy and hydrating and highly pigmented. I defiantly recommend checking them out if you haven't already!
Maybelline Coloursensational: I am not sure that this is the name but it came out for a limited time only in the summer and it is a transparent lipstick. They basically tint your lips and it looks like you just ate a Popsicle. The colour I got is pink lollipop and it smells like candy :) YUM
MAC Sheen Supreme: The colour I got in this is Quite The Thing. I just got this for Christmas so I have only worn it a few times but I am in love with the colour! It is a fuschia and has a bit more purple than pink to it. It looks really dark in the tube but goes on a lot lighter. I am not one to venture out and get bight lipsticks (like red or purple) but I am starting to and I really like this one!

Lip Gloss
MAC Dazzleglass: The colour I have in this is baby sparks. This is my all time favourite gloss. It is pink and very glittery, I find that it looks really pretty! I also really like the applicator and how it is a brush instead of a wand.
Rimmel London Vinyl Gloss: This is a lot like the dazzleglass. My favourite colour is lovebug. To be honest at the store when I saw it I got it because I thought the name was adorable! The colour turned out to be good, in the tube it is a light pink but on it is clear.
Loreal Paris le Gloss: This also came out in the summer and it has really cute packaging. It was actually in my September favourites. The colour I have is Golden Splash and it is a pink-orange colour. It also smells like cupcakes <333
Lip Balms: I got obsessed with lip balms over the summer, all of them. Lip smacker, EOS, Blistex, ect. So, I would say that all of them are my favourites!  One in particular though is Maybelline's Baby Lips. I got the clear kind but omg! It smells so good and it makes my lips really soft! If you have chapped lips I definitely recommend it! :)

Those are my top lip products of 2011! I am really excited to see what 2012 has to offer!

What was your favourite lip product of 2011?

Let's Talk: Feather Extensions!

I thought a good topic to cover would be feather extensions. They have been really popular since the summer and still are. I see tons of people at my school with them, also celebrities (like Aria from Pretty Little Liars and Ke$ha). I have had mine for four months and I am going to get them switched sometime this break. I think I can answer some questions you might have about them so I will divide this into topics. My personal experience with them, questions (I got a few from yahoo answers), and just general thoughts :)
Personal Experience
I got mine back in the beginning of Semptember and I have to say I like them a lot. You can go swimming with them, wash your hair, curl/straighten them, get your hair cut, basically anything you can do with your hair. I have medium brown hair and the feather colours I choose were white and black, yellow-orange and black, and just a pure black also they are thin not thick (I don't really like the thick ones). I also put them behind my ear. I didn't know what they would look like at first so I wanted to keep it safe, no crazy colours (like pink or blue). After I got them put in I defiantly regretted not getting a fun colour, but I will this time! I think I am going to get a purple. They take less than 5 minutes to put in (I think they do them at any hair salon) and it is just a clamp so you can get them removed whenever you want :)
Questions
I got these questions from yahoo answers, so let's answer them!  :)
How much are feather extensions?
I got mine for $10 a feather and I live in Canada, so I think they should generally be around that price.
How long do feather extensions stay in?
They can stay in for as long as you want. Again, I have had mine for about 4 months. I am just replacing them because your hair obviously grows and right now they are the same length as my hair and I don't want them being longer. I actually might see in keeping a couple of mine and adding one more :) So they last for a long time.
How can you shower with feather extensions so they don't get ruined, and how do you care for them?
You basically forget they are there. I wash and care for mine the same as I care for my hair, I don't do anything special. The one thing you might want to watch out for it brushing them. Sometimes (where the clamp is) the brush will catch it and pull. That had only happened to me a few times but still something you don't want happening. If they do get ruined I would go to the salon and get them fixed/re-done!
Are they real feathers?
You can get feather extensions that are from real feathers. Personally, I don't know if I would want to get real feathers in my hair and what they do to the birds is sad :( I got synthetic feather extensions and that means that they are fake feathers.

Anyways, I hope this was helpful to some of you and I will talk to you later!! <3

Merry Christmas to those who celebrate it!
I hope you have a great day full of surprises and turkey! And today is the end of my blogmas (tear, tear). Did you notice that it was exactly 12 days? I planned that :) Just kidding, it was a total accident!
My favourite Christmas present was Justin Bieber Someday Perfume and MAC makeup :)
So, I am going to go now but I hope you have a great day!!!

What was your favourite Christmas present? :)

Blogmas Day 11: It's Christmas Eve! :)

IT'S CHRISTMAS EVE!
Are you guys excited for tomorrow?
Christmas Eve is my favourite day of the year (I like it even more than Christmas Day itself!).
Today I actually finished up some Christmas shopping! Yeah, I am bad for leaving it so last minute, hahaa. The mall wasn't even busy. I was so surprised! Also, I got my phone fixed! They had to replace the trackball, I am so happy! I can call people again! Yayyy!
Tonight has been pretty laid back. Just hanging with my family :)
I just got to open my Christmas pajamas (I always get to open new pajamas on Christmas eve) and they are so cute and cuddly. They are plaid bottoms (purple and navy) and a navy tank top that has all these cute winter sayings :)
I have been also watching Christmas specials, right now I am watching Rudolph :) And I am tracking Santa! Haha, so you have probably heard of it but its called Norad Santa Tracker (http://www.noradsanta.org/en/) and you can see what country Santa is in and where he has been. Pretty cool :)
So, I should probably go now, but I hope you guys have a great Christmas Eve and talk to you tomorrow!!
P.S Here is a Christmas Eve song! :)

Blogmas Day 10: Ins & Outs of December

Merry Christmas Eve's Eve! :)
Today I am going to go through my ins & outs of December! LEGGO :D

Ins
  • Christmas: I love Christmas so much! It is my all time favourite holiday <3 I have been loving the baking, eating the baked goods, the shows, movies, shopping, and just everyone being merry.
  • Skating: Yesterday I got to go skating for the first time this year! I love skating it is so much fun :) I still have to buy some new skates because the ones I have now are getting old (if your wondering I use hockey skates but I thinking of switching to figure skates). I am probably an average skater, but I still can't stop, haha! :) One year I went speed skating and it was amazing! If you ever get the chance, try it! I am hoping to go again this year.
  • Twitter & Tumblr: Recently I have been addicted to tumblr and twitter. On my twitter I just post whats happening and quotes and tumblr is just random pictures. Anyway, if you want to follow me here are the links: twitter and my tumblr. Oh, and I will follow back! Just ask :)
Outs
  • School: School has been so crazy this month. I had so much work to do! I am sorta sad that I didn't get to do all of my blogmas ideas, but I guess I can do them next year! I am also really tired, I am SO happy that today was my last day! No more school for 2 weeks!!! :D
  • My Crapberry: That is what I now call my blackberry (I got the word from Ingrid, but I think it suits my phone perfectly!). It has been so annoying recently! I have an older version so it has the trackball and it is suck and won't scroll down. That means I can't text/call anyone unless they text me first. Also I have this alarm on my phone to wake me up in the morning and because my phone won't scroll down it is going to go off at 7am everyday this break! I have tried a million things to fix it (like the paper trick) do you guys have any ideas? Also, it won't go on standby, so annoying. Sorry, this was a bit of a rant, haha. I am going to see if I can get it fixed after Christmas!
  • No Snow: I can't believe it is suppose to be a green Christmas. The weather has been so strange! It felt like spring a few days ago and now it is freezing outside! Hopefully it snows before Christmas! *fingers crossed*
Those are my ins & outs! What are yours? :)

Blogmas Day 9: My Newest Obsession

Hey Everyone!
Today I just wanted to do a quick post on my newest obsession, Tiny Tower. If you watch Ingrid's vlogmas videos then you probably know what I am talking about. Tiny Tower is this free app for iPhones and iPod touches (they might also have it for other smartphones as well).
What you do is make this tower and Bitzens live there (they are humans but in the Tiny Tower world). So you make different floors that are either: food, service, recreation, retail, creative and residential. I like to put my residential floor for every two food, retail, ect. This is because your bitzens will work for you and the only way they will work is if they have a place to live :) You can also earn bux for doing little jobs like finding someone in your tower or giving an elevator ride. It is good to save your bux to buy a faster elevator. If you hit menu you are brought to a bunch of icons, my favourite one is bitbook! It is like a little facebook for them, so cute! Also the game keeps going when your away so you can always be playing it.
My tower has 9 floors right now but I almost have enough money to build a tenth. My floors are: apartment, sub shop (but I named mine subway), photo studio, apartment, arcade, music store, apartment, and day spa :)
Anyways, it is a really cute and addicting game I thought it would share with you! Do any of you play it?

Also, I just wanted to say sorry for the lack of post recently, I am been really busy with school (I have so many summatives, ah!). I am just taking a break form homework now so that's why this post is sorta short. Hopefully I get finished everything tonight and I can do a fun post tomorrow :)
So, I will talk to you tomorrow! :D And yes, I totally used instagram on the tiny tower picture :P

**Only 4 days until Christmas!**

Blogmas Day 8: Dashing Through The Snow...

Hey Everyone!
Today I wanted to talk about my favourite activities to do in the winter time! Obviously these deer like to build snowmen, haha :)

My top thing is sledding/skiing. I love sledding. It is the funnest thing ever! When I was like 10 or something my friends and I went to a hill and built ramps on the bottom so you would 'fly'. We then had people under the ramp and you would go over them. So much fun! I think I have a video of it on YouTube actually...Also, I have always wanted to go to Quebec for their winter carnival, it looks amazing! They have this snow slide (I am not sure if there is ice on it), but you get in a tube thing and go down. Pretty cool, right?
My other top activity is skiing. I have only been downhill once and it was a lot of fun, hopefully I can go this year! :) I sometimes go cross country skiing, but my skis are like 100 years old..I should probably update them :P

Skating! Of course skating has to be one of my favourite winter actives! I love it (even though I can't stop, haha). It is fun to go with a group of friends and get hot chocolate and skate around the rink :)

My last favourite activity is just playing in the snow. I am a total kid, I know. But it is sooo much fun to be outside and build a snowman, or make snow angles. I also like to play with my dog in the snow, he is so funny! He makes little tunnels and then pops up and is covered in snow and you can only see his eyes, lol :)

Those are some of my favourite winter activites :) Andddd only 9 more days until Christmas!! Ahhh :D Anyways, talk to you later!

What are your favourite winter activity? :)

Blogmas Day 7: Christmas Cookies!

YUMMY!
Yes, today I am doing a post on Chirstmas Cookies! This is mostly because I am baking right now and I thought it would be fun to share and maybe inspire you to do some baking too! :) In this blog post I will go over sugar cookies and gingerbread cookies. I bought cookie dough already made, so I won't go through the baking and mixing steps in detail but I will put a link to a recipe if your interested in see that :)
Sugar Cookies
What You Are Going To Need:
- Cookie Dough
- Cookie Cutters
- Icing
- Food Colouring
- Sprinkles
How to Make it:
Get the cookie dough and put flour on it and roll it out. Then get some cookie cutters (it can be stars or anything) and cut the dough. Bake as directed on the package.
When it is baking you can make some icing! For the icing you will need 1 cup icing sugar and 1 -2 tbsp of milk. The whip until it looks like icing (haha). Or you can also buy white icing if you don't want to make it.
You can separate the icing into little bowls and make each one a different colour. Just put in a few drops of food colouring. I made my icing red, green, and white.
Spread the icing on the cookie after it has baked and cooled. Then add sprinkles! I have a bunch of Christmas sprinkles, there are little trees and red and green sprinkles! Cute, eh? :)
Here is a recipe if you are interested in making our cookies homemade: http://www.kraftcanada.com/en/recipes/easy-sugar-cookies-107061.aspx
Gingerbread Cookies
Run, Run, as fast as you can! You can't catch me I'm the gingerbread man!
Hopefully, you don't have any run away gingerbread men! Haha :)
Here is what your going to need to make it:
- cookie dough
- cookie cutters
- icing (and a baggie)
- candy (like jubjub candies)
How to make it:
Get the cookie and roll it out flat (don't forget the flour!). Use the cookie cutter and cut the cookie dough into little men. Bake as directed on the package.
You can make the icing just like you did in the sugar cookie one. Once you have your icing separate it into Ziploc sandwich bags. You can add food colouring to how many baggies you have. Push the icing to a corner of the baggie and then cut a little hole. This will help you design the cookies. Make a little hole at first and then go bigger if you need too.
Once the cookies are done baking and cooled its time to put the icing on!
I like to make an outline around the gingerbread man and then add a smile. Then I make two little dots of icing like buttons and put the jubjub's on it. YUM!
Here is a recipe if you are wanting to make them homemade: http://www.kraftcanada.com/en/recipes/gingerbread-people-84137.aspx

These also make really cute presents! It is something I am giving to my friends. Just get a cute tin from Wal-Mart or Zellers (Target if you live in america) and put in the cookies! :)
Hope you enjoyed this blog post and I will talk to you later!

Blogmas Day 5: Top 10 Holiday Shows/Movies

My favourite way to get into the Christmas spirit is by watching Christmas specials! Here is my top 10 favourite shows and movies :)

1. Rudolph The Red-Nose Reindeer. My all time favourite show is Rudolph, not the newer versions but the one from the 1960s (I think...). It is so cute and I love everything about it! "Let's be independent together!" my all time favourite line, ahah!! :)

2. Elf. This is the most FUNNIEST movie everrrr. If you have never seen it, go watch it now! It is the best Christmas movie you will ever see.

3. The Grinch. This is a pretty classic show. I am not as much of a fan of the new movie with Jim Carry (I still like it though). My favourite part is when he does that evil smile, sorta a weird part to like but it always makes me laugh, he looks too funny! :)

4. Arthur Christmas. This is a new movie, it is still only in theaters. Arthur Christmas is the most cutest movie ever! It is really funny, and at one point I wanted to cry (I always cry at cartoons!) and it had a great story line. I don't want to give too much away, but it is a really good movie. Plus, Justin Bieber is in the begininggg <3

5. The Santa Clause (all three). This is another great Christmas movie! It is funny and always makes me happy, especially Comet! I have seen the reindeer from the movie, it was so exciting! LOL :)

6. Christmas with the Kranks. I really like this movie. It is about this family that wants to skip Christmas and everyone is giving them a hard time about it. It is really funny and always gets me into the Christmas spirit!

7. Frosty the Snowman. This is a really adorable show. I like the older cartoon rather than the newer ones, and I don't really like Frosty Returns.

8. Home Alone. I love Home Alone! It is so funny! I also like Home Alone 2 but I have never seen the ending! I should watch it at some point, haha.

9. The Polar Express. This movie always makes me believe in Santa. It is a really good movie and the video game for it is also really good! I sorta want to play it now...

10. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. This is also a funny movie (I really like comedies if you couldn't tell). I love when the squirrel is in the Christmas tree! Soooo funnnnyyy :)

So, that is my top 10 holiday shows/movies! It isn't in order, more like what ones I could remember :P But I defiantly recommend them if your looking to watch some movies!

What's your favourite Holiday Movie/Show?

Oh, and is anyone watching the Top Model Finale tonight?! I am so excitedddd, I really hope Alison wins!! Eeeeeee :)

Blogmas Day 4: Homemade Ornaments

Hey Everyone!
Sorry for not doing blogmas yesterday, I can't believe that I missed a day. I was doing homework and I didn't have anytime to write. So now I am a day behind...
On a brighter note, today I wanted to give you some homemade ornament ideas :) You can hang them on your tree, or give them as gifts.
Glass Ball Ornament
So, this ornament is going to look like the one above.
You will need:
- a glass ornament (I got mine from Michaels craft store)
- anything you want to put inside it, you can use paint or paper, glitter or music notes
How to make it:
So take of the top of the ornament, that will be the metal part. They should just be able to come off.
If you want it to look like the picture above just get music sheets and glitter paper, whatever you might have into strips. Then just put in into the ornament.
You can also put paint in them and swirl it to give it a unique effect. Or, you can just paint the outside.
I just had a great idea! You could make little paper swans and put it into the ornament! How cute is that?! Adorable <3
Paper Ball Ornament
I found this picture on weheartit.com and wanted to make one myself! So, I searched it on google and just finished making my own :) Here is how to make it!
What you are going to need:
- paper
- scissors
- stapler
- glue
How to make it:
Trace out nine circles. It can be an size you want and the paper can be whatever you want :)
Fold each circle in half and place them in a stack. Staple them at the top, middle and bottom fold (make sure that they are unfolded when you staple it).
One by one glue them together alternating from top and bottom.
And that's all, pretty cute, eh? :)

Those are two idea's for homemade ornaments :) I think that they are pretty easy and a great project to do when your bored. Hopefully you found this helpful and will try some of these out! Anyway, I will talk to you tomorrow!

Blogmas Day 3: Dear Santa...

Hey Everyone!
Today I wanted to share my Christmas wishlist! It may give you ideas on what to give someone for a present, or what you might want for Christmas! Overall, it is always fun to write out a wishlist!
My List :)
Pajama bottoms and slippers. I love coming home and putting on pajama pants and slippers, it is always so warm and cozy!
From MAC I want lipstick in Quite a Thing, eye shadow in All That glitters and Quarry. I love the lipstick Quite a Thing, it is a fuchsia colour and so gorgeous! I don't own anything like it, and for the eye shadows I just have been wanting them for a while.
For books I want Bobbie Browns Makeup Manual and Twisted (the newest Pretty Little Liar novel).
I also want a camera, as you know mine is broken so I could really use a new one!
In video games I want Mario Galaxy 2. I love Mario games! I have already beat the first one and I am really excited to try out the next one.
I also really really want an iPad, but I really don't think that is going to happen, but you never know! :)

So, that is my Christmas list! I also want some random stuff like nail polishes and clothes. But those are the main things :)

What is on your Christmas List?

Blogmas Day 2: Peppermint Hot Chocolate

Hey Everyone!
So, today for blogmas I want to do a recipe on peppermint hot chocolate! I have become obsessed with peppermint hot chocolate from Starbucks (I have yet to try the white peppermint mocha, maybe I will this weekend!). So, I wanted to make my own today, here is how you make it!
What you are gonna need:
- peppermint candy canes
- hot chocolate mix
- milk (or water)
- whip cream
- a cute Christmas mug!
How to make it:
- put the milk or water in your mug and put it in the microwave for 2 minutes
- while it is in the microwave take your candy cane and a large spoon and hit it until it is crushed
- get your mug from the microwave and put the crushed candy cane in it and 2 spoon fulls of hot chocolate mix (how much you use is really up to you, I prefer 1 candy cane and 3 spoons of coco)
- stir until all of the candy cane pieces have melted
- add whip cream and its ready to enjoy!
Make it a present!
You can always turn this into a present. Either get a fun holiday mug and fill it with the ingredients (obviously only the peppermint and hot coco mix) or get a jar and decorate it! :)

That is my peppermint hot chocolate recipe, let me know what you think in the comments! Also check out my other blog post on how to make hot chocolate! I will talk to you guys tomorrow!

What is your favourite holiday drink?

I am so excited for this month and to be doing Blogmas! I am basically going to be blogging everyday until Christmas :) Today I am going to be doing the Holly Jolly Tag I got this tag from BeautyByKimi's blog.

I really like the old Christmas shows like Rudolph and Grinch, but I am not sure if that counts as a movie. But my all time favourite  Christmas movie is Elf! :D
Are you on the Naughty or Nice list?
Nice :)
Show us an embarrassing Christmas Card photo!
I have never taken a Christmas Card photo! :(
Have you ever had a white Christmas?
I always have a white Christmas :) It is Canada after all!
Where do you usually spend your holiday?
My Aunt's house. It is out in the country, it is always nice to get out of the city :)
Play or sing your favourite Christmas song!
I can't because I am typing, haha. But my favourite Christmas song is All I Want For Christmas Is You.
Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?
Yeah, I always get to open new pajamas. Not very exciting, but very cozy!
Can you name all of Santa's reindeer?
Uhhh, of course! Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen, and Rudolph!
What holiday tradition are you looking forward to most this year?
I don't really have any traditions..But I am just excited to spend time with my family :)
Is your Christmas tree real or fake?
It is fake, but my Aunt's is real and I am usually there for Christmas anyway.
Hands down, what's your all-time favourite holiday food and sweet treat?
I like the entire turkey dinner! And for sweat treats truffles! (I will have a recipe for them & present idea up later!)
Be honest: Do you like giving or receiving gifts better?
I like giving. Every time I get someone I present I am so excited for them to open it! Haha :)
Show us your tackiest Christmas Attire (example, ugly sweater)
I actually don't have one, no lie. I sorta want one though :)
What would be the dream place to visit for this holiday season?
I would like to go somewhere I could ski :) I feel like if I went to Bora Bora or something it wouldn't feel like Christmas!

Truffles & Cookies :)
Are you a pro-present wrapper, or do you fail miserably?
Pro-present wrapper, awww yeahhhh :)
Most memorable holiday moment?
When I was a kid I really wanted this toy dog and one year I found it under the tree and it made me really happy :) I still have it!
What made you realize the truth about Santa?
My friends told me.
Do you make New Years Revolutions? Do you stick to them?
Nope, I don't really bother making them because I know I won't stick to them.
What makes the holidays special for you?
Just everyone being happy. I also like to help out with the community during the holiday. Also the snow, hanging out with friends, Christmas shopping, decorating, baking, skating, ect. :)

Get The Look: Hit The Lights

Selena Gomez's new music video Hit The Lights came out a while ago.
I am in love with the song, her outfits (can I really just steal them? they are so cute!) and makeup! I have been playing around to try to get the look from this video. This is what I can up with:

Makeup
1) Apply your normal foundation.
2) Put concealer under your eyes and anywhere there is redness (On a side note, my favourite concealer maybelline dream mouse is being discontinued! Its the saddest this ever!!)
3) Apply any setting powder with a big fluffy brush.
4) Smile and apply some pink blush! :)
5) Apply a light brown eye shadow all over your lid going three fourths up (towards your brow).
6) Get a medium brown shadow (in between the light and the darkest brown you use) and put it on the outer half of the lid, blend it with the other colour (if you don't have a blending brush your finger always works).
7) Get a darker colour of brown and put it in the outer corner and blend it into your crease.
8) In the very outer corner get a black colour and put a little bit on the outter edge and draw a little line it towards your brow. This will create that wing Selena has in her video.
9) Use your finger to soften the shadows and add a highlight colour under your brow.
10) Apply eye liner to your top and bottom waterline. Also curl your lashes and apply mascara.
11) Her lips are a bright pink. MAC's Show Orchid is a hot pink lip stick, I think it fits this look really well! Any lipstick that is a bright/hot pink you have will work for this :)

Hair
She has a million different hairstyles in this! It really depends on you! You can have it curly, straight, up in a pony or colour extensions! :) If you are straightening it I suggest parting it in the middle.

Hope you enjoyed this tutorial and here is the music video if your interested in seeing it!

Walking in a Winter Wonderland: Top 3 Christmas Candles

Top 3 Winter Candles

Winter is here and my fall candles have just burned out, so it is time to stock up on some new ones! Yesterday I went to Bath and Body works and got a few new winter candles.

Sticky Toffee Pudding
This candle is a winner for the best recipe contest. On the lid it says winner and when you peel it there is directions on how to make sticky toffee pudding! Isn't that so cool (and scrumptious!)
This smells so good! I like how it smells like your actually baking something in the oven. Here is how the site describes it:

A rich, tempting treat that combines melted toffee, pure maple syrup and toasted pecans, topped with brown sugar and whipped cream.

Uhh, can I just eat it?

Candid Sugar Plum
My favourite thing about this candle is that its sugar plum. It reminds me of the book The Night Before Christmas. It is a very sweet but light sent. It is probably my favourite out of all 3 of these candles. It smells like candy and I find there is a bit of spice to it (but very light). Here is how the website describes it:

Rich, sugared plums and boysenberries are blended perfectly with sweet orange, cinnamon leaf and a touch of apple

Twisted Peppermint
This is probably one of the more classic winter scents. I am becoming more and more obsessed with peppermint, first the hot chocolate and now this. This basically smells like a candy cane and really christmassy. Here is the description from the website:

A refreshing mix of spearmint and mandarin, layered with iced peppermint, vanilla extract and sugar musk.

Those are my top 3 winter candles. One of my favourite things to do in the winter is to burn candles, so yummy and relaxing <3

What are your top 3 winter candles?

Review: Healthy Sexy Hair - Leave in Conditioner

Hey Everyone!
So, a few weeks ago I hunted down this leave in conditioner by Healthy Sexy Hair (it is from the popular brand Sexy Hair).
The main reason I was drawn to this product is because it prevents static electricity. My hair in the winter drives me crazy! I think it is just the dry heat in my house or at school, but if I run my fingers through it or use a scarf my hair clings to my face. Not fun. Since I started using it a few weeks ago I have had no issue with static electricity. I am so happy, I hope this continues to work with my hair :) I have tried a few different products mostly shampoo and conditioners but they haven't worked, so I give this a thumbs up!
This product also gives a lot of moisture to your hair. It says it helps with detangling but I didn't find it helped with my tangles very much. I have a separate detangler but this product didn't help me there. It could vary on different hair types though!
When using this product it is best to have damp hair. I like to spray it 4-6 times into the palm of my hair and apply it from my ears down. I only apply from my ears down because I don't like to put product on my roots because my hair tends to get oily quick and I'd rather avoid it becoming oily faster than it already is. This goes for all of my hair products except shampoo. You can obviously spray it directly on your hair if you'd rather that :) Once it is on you hair you just want to brush it out.
It also doesn't smell like anything, I wished it did just because I like scented hair products, LOL :)
This retails for $17 in Canada and I think around $14 in US and you can get it at any salon store. Mine was from Beauty Express, I am not sure if it is a chain or a local store. Also, where I got mine they had these 'baby' ones (probably for traveling) for only $2 and you can always try it out and see if you like it and if you do buy the normal size later!
Overall I give this product and 8.5/10.

I will have my nails of the week up tomorrow, I just painted them last night!
And Happy Thanksgiving to all of my American followers :) Hope you have a great (and yummy) thanksgiving!!

Weekend Fun !

Hey Everyone!
Sorry I haven't blogged in forever! I haven't been near my computer all weekend! I actually had a busy/fun weekend, so I thought I would share it with you guys :)

Friday
So, after school my friends and I went downtown and hung out. I got my first peppermint hot chocolate ever and omggggg I am in love! They are the greatest drinks ever! I am going to do a blog post on how to make them at home because that's all I have been drinking, haha.
Anyway, we ended seeing Breaking Dawn Part 1 (of the Twilight series) later that night. We had to get the tickets and wait awhile (around a hour) for the movie to start. I am not much of a Twilight fan, I have never read the books, or seen any of the other movies before. I just went to this one because I thought it looked good :) Anyway, the movie was soo good! It was funny, one part scared me (I can't remember what part, lol) and the ending was omg! That's all I can say about the ending o.m.g! Do I have to wait a year for the next one to come out?? Anyways, I am planing on reading the books and watching the rest of the movies because I was a bit lost through the movie, and there was references from the past films and I was like, huh? But it is really good and you should go see it if you haven't!

Saturday
I ended up going to the mall and coat shopping! Yay for winter! So, I got a ski jacket and it is pink and purple (of course!) it is fitted and really pretty <3 It was put the the test of warmth today, it was like -3 when I left this morning and went to a high of 0. I know I sound super wimpy, but I am not use to the cold yet :P  Maybe I can do an outfit of the day outside when its super cold , that would be fun!
On Saturday night my friends and I got some peppermint hot chocolate and went to the Santa Parade! It was sorta lame, nothing to special. I didn't end up taking any pictures because I still don't have a camera but I am getting one for Christmas and I will be taking a lot then!
After the parade we went to my friends house and had a slumber party! We order pizza, listened to music, played wii and talked. It was really fun! :)

Sunday
I went to my cousins baby shower for most of the day. My cousin lives out in the country so it is always nice to go out there :) And I noticed that all the leaves from the trees had fallen off! I am so slow, haha! Anyways, my cousins baby is sosososso cute <333 His name is Logan and is a month or so old. I got to hold him and he started crying :( but I guess he was just hungry, lol. We also got to play a lot of baby shower games and I tried so hard to win, but I didn't, oh well maybe next time! They also had this really yummy dip there and once I get the recipe I will do a post on it, honestly it is the best dip I have ever had!
When we got home I started my lab that was due the next day (leave it to me for doing homework at the last minute!). I probably looked like that cartoon! But I got it done in time! :D

So, that is pretty much my weekend :) I will start posting every other day again starting now! Haha, talk to you later!!

What did you do this weekend?

Hair Tutorial: Top Knot :)

Top Knots are quickly becoming one of my favourite hair styles! There are two ways I like to do my top knot: Normal (like in the picture above) and Braided. Also at the end I will give you tips on how to deal/avoid "hairaches"!

Top Knot
For a normal top knot you are going to need 2 elastics, bobby pins and hairspray (optional)
First flip your head upside down and brush your hair out.
Then collect your hair on the top of your head and put it into a ponytail.
Take your hair in the ponytail and twist it.
Eventually put your hair into a bun (by moving it around the elastic). Once it s how you like it tie it off with an elastic.
You can use the bobby pins if you hair is falling out or you want to fix it up a bit.
You can hair spray your top knot if you want it to look more polished or leave it and have it look more messy (personally, I like to have it messy).
You can also have it off center to make it look more fun!

Braided Top Knot
This is really similar to the top knot but has a little twist!
You will need 2-3 elastics (one small), bobby pins and hairspray (optional)
Flip your head upside down and brush out your hair.
Collect your hair at the top of your head and tie it in a ponytail.
Next, braid your hair and when your done tie it with a little elastic.
Then wrap it around the elastic.
You can secure it with bobby pins or another elastic.
You can make this look polished or messy just like the normal top knot.

How to Deal/Avoid a "Hairache"
After having your hair up all day can give you a "hairache". That's basically a headache but its just your scalp hurting. Here are some tips to deal with it:
- don't tie it tightly
- shower after you take it down
- massage your hair after you take it down
I know it is always a downside for me when I have my hair up.
If you have any other tips on how to avoid a "hairache" put them in the comments :)

That's how to do a top knot and a braided top knot :) Hopefully this was helpful!
And I don't think I am going to be doing any nails of the week this week because I am probably not going to be painting them (but maybe tomorrow, we will see!). Anyways, talk to you tomorrow!

Whats your favourite hair style?

My Lush Shopping List :)

Lush is one of my favourite bath shops :) It smells so yummy, it is like heaven on earth!
I don't go shopping there often so I made a list of things I want to get the next time I go. So, here is my shopping list :) and I might do a haul when I end up going shopping :D

Bath Bombs
- Cinders. I want to get this one because I heard Fleur talking about it in a lush haul and it sounded like it would smell really yummy. It is described as a sweet and spicy sent. It also has fizzy candy in it :)
- Satsumo Santa. I only want this because it is shaped as a Santa...but how cute is that?!
- Pink Bath Bomb. This is my all time favourite bath bomb! I get it every time I go. It is pink (obviously) and has 3 little flowers on the outside. It smells so good! The site describes the sent as pink bon-bons! And wanna know the best part? It turns the water PINK and a million little hearts are left in the water <3

Bubble Bars
- The Comforter. This is my favourtie smelling bubble bar. I have been wanting it for such a long time! It has pink and white swirls and it sorta in the shape of a square. The description says: gives the feeling of being hugged by a jolly blackcurrant, haha!
- Christmas Eve. I think I am going to get this an use it on Christmas Eve! How cute! I am so excited :) It is suppose to smell like jasmine and ylang ylang - yumm <3 Plus, it might have a golden ticket inside (I don't really know what happens when you find a golden ticket...but it must be good!)

Face Masks
- Cupcake. I really want to get this mask, if I do I will totally do a review on it! It is suppose to calm redness and deeply cleanse. It also smells super good - like all lush products!

That is all that is on my list. Hopefully I can get most of it but I will for sure get the Cupcake face mask and do a review, but I will do a mini haul even if I don't get a whole lot :)
And my nails of the week should be up tomorrow or the next day (probably the next day because I have dance tomorrow). Talk to you laterrr!

What's your favourite lush goodie? :)

My Starbucks Obsession

One of my favourite things about the holidays is Starbucks holiday drinks!
They are so yummy and I get really excited when they come out :D It just feels so christmasy (is that a word? well, its gonna be!).
I am not much of a plain coffee drinker. I usually get a cafe mocha or hot chocolate when I go to starbucks. But what I love about hoilday drinks is that there are so many to try! I am on the 'hunt' for the perfect holiday drink! I have been going to a Starbucks and getting a different holiday drink until I find the perfect one! So far I have only tired the Gingerbread Latte and Caramel Brulee Latte. I found the Gingerbread Latte didn't taste like I thought it would. I was expecting it to taste just like the cookie, but it didn't. I am not sure if they made a mistake but I was let down by it :( I also tried the Caramel Brulee Latte and it was good. It is very sweet, almost too sweet but overall I liked it.
The other holiday drinks include:
- Peppermint Mocha
- Peppermint White Chocolate Mocha
- Peppermint Hot Chocolate
- Eggnog Latte
- Caramel Brulee Frappuccino
- Peppermint Mocha Frappuccino

OMGHHKP, wanna hear my plan? I am going to get a Starbucks holiday drink and sit and watch the Santa Claus Parade :D That sounds like the warmest, yummiest Christmasy thing everrrr <33333 I should totally do a follow me around blog post on it! AHH! I am so exciteddddddd :D

I also heard that Starbucks are having a buy 1 holiday drink get 1 free from November 18 - 21!
It might only be in Canada but it is totally worth checking out your local Starbucks to see if it is happening there :)

What's your favourite holiday drink?

Also, when do you want me to start with the holiday blog posts? Like Nov.25 or the beginning of December?  Let me know :)
