Get The Look: Aria Montgomery

Hey Girls!
This is look 2 in my Pretty Little Liar Series! If you want to check out my Get The Look post on Spencer the click here :)
Makeup & Hair
For Aria's makeup I would start off with your everyday foundation & any natural coloured blush.
Her eyes are doll like and she likes to use eyeliner to make them pop. I would use black liner on your top lash line and line your waterline half way (from the outer corner to the middle). She also has really voluminous lashes, use any volumizing mascara or fake lashes. Aria's eyebrows also frame her face, I would suggest filling them in to make them more bold. For shadow she tends to create neutral smokey eyes. Her lips vary. Sometimes she wears deep colours and other times neutral. I would use a berry lip stick because I notice that she wears that colour the most.
Here is a entire makeup tutorial from my favourite beauty guru, missglamorazzi :)
For hair it is usually down and has a loose curl. To get that look use a large barrel curler (1 inch and up). Her hair is also very shiny so I would suggest any shine product.
Outfit
Aria defiantly has a more edgy and unique way of dressing compared to the other girls. She is not afraid to try new pieces (like her neon yellow shoes in last weeks episode). She also likes to layer and accessorize. Aria tends to wear girly dresses and a leather jacket over it (her main statement piece).
Here are some clothes that I could see Aria wearing:
Hope you enjoyed and I will have Emily's look up next week! :)

Let's Talk: Feather Extensions!

I thought a good topic to cover would be feather extensions. They have been really popular since the summer and still are. I see tons of people at my school with them, also celebrities (like Aria from Pretty Little Liars and Ke$ha). I have had mine for four months and I am going to get them switched sometime this break. I think I can answer some questions you might have about them so I will divide this into topics. My personal experience with them, questions (I got a few from yahoo answers), and just general thoughts :)
Personal Experience
I got mine back in the beginning of Semptember and I have to say I like them a lot. You can go swimming with them, wash your hair, curl/straighten them, get your hair cut, basically anything you can do with your hair. I have medium brown hair and the feather colours I choose were white and black, yellow-orange and black, and just a pure black also they are thin not thick (I don't really like the thick ones). I also put them behind my ear. I didn't know what they would look like at first so I wanted to keep it safe, no crazy colours (like pink or blue). After I got them put in I defiantly regretted not getting a fun colour, but I will this time! I think I am going to get a purple. They take less than 5 minutes to put in (I think they do them at any hair salon) and it is just a clamp so you can get them removed whenever you want :)
Questions
I got these questions from yahoo answers, so let's answer them!  :)
How much are feather extensions?
I got mine for $10 a feather and I live in Canada, so I think they should generally be around that price.
How long do feather extensions stay in?
They can stay in for as long as you want. Again, I have had mine for about 4 months. I am just replacing them because your hair obviously grows and right now they are the same length as my hair and I don't want them being longer. I actually might see in keeping a couple of mine and adding one more :) So they last for a long time.
How can you shower with feather extensions so they don't get ruined, and how do you care for them?
You basically forget they are there. I wash and care for mine the same as I care for my hair, I don't do anything special. The one thing you might want to watch out for it brushing them. Sometimes (where the clamp is) the brush will catch it and pull. That had only happened to me a few times but still something you don't want happening. If they do get ruined I would go to the salon and get them fixed/re-done!
Are they real feathers?
You can get feather extensions that are from real feathers. Personally, I don't know if I would want to get real feathers in my hair and what they do to the birds is sad :( I got synthetic feather extensions and that means that they are fake feathers.

Anyways, I hope this was helpful to some of you and I will talk to you later!! <3

Hair & Makeup Trends for Fall 2011!

So, with fall around the corner (gonna miss summer). I thought doing hair and makeup trends would be a good idea! Lets start with makeup and then move into hair!

MAKEUP
SPIDER LASHES
Big thick lashes are in for fall! They are called spider lashes because they are suppose to look like spider legs (a bit creepy) . To get this look just apply your favourite mascara like normal, now take the mascara and close your lid and go down and up (like from your lid to the end of your lashes). Doing this gives your lashes a spider look.

METALLIC EYES
Metallic eye shadows are in! To get this look take a silver eye shadow and put it all over you lid, how easy is that! :)

RED LIPS
Red lips are one of the lip colours that are in this year! Rock this look by applying a red lip liner and some red lipstick, or just the lipstick if you are running late! :) (also try adding some gloss)

Taylor Swift always knows how to pull off a red lip!

PASTEL LIPS
I am so happy pastel lips are in this fall! It is a great colour to wear to school and you can also use the lipstick as a blush.

HAIR
BRAIDS
Braids are very popular this fall. From a basic braid to a waterfall braid they are easy to dress up and down! I am planing on doing a bunch of tutorials on doing different braids and different looks with them so keep checking my blog out to see when it is posted! :)

MESSY BUNS
Messy buns are in for fall, and I love this look! But it can be hard to master. I would suggest making your hair wavy first or loosely curling it and twisting it into a bun.
WAVES
Waves are also in this upcoming season! I will also have some tutorials up on how to get this look.

So thats all and I hope you enjoyed this post, comment below and let my know what your favourite fall trend is! And I will talk to you guys tomorrow! :)
